Domaine Arnaud et Sophie Sirugue-Noellat
Following the retirement of Robert Sirugue’s children, the wines of Domaine Robert Sirugue will come under a new name called Famille AS Sirugue-Noëllat. Famille AS was created ten years ago by Robert’s grandson Arnaud Sirugue and his wife Sophie Noëllat-Sirugue from Domaine Michel Noëllat, also in Vosne-Romanée. Arnaud is an incredibly talented and experienced vigneron. As well as being responsible for the Famille AS wines, he made the wines of the Domaine, working alongside his father and aunt. He took full charge of the vineyards and winemaking in 2024 and will be selling the 2023s. Highly regarded plots include Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Petits Monts, Chambolle-Musigny Les Mombies and VosneRomanée Les Barreaux. The proportion of whole bunches in the fermentation has increased in recent, warm vintages but the philosophy remains the same, ‘precision and finesse’ in Sophie’s words. A fabulous year, the 2023s shows real class and elegance, a brilliant vintage to launch this exciting new venture.
