Thomas Boccon
Introduction
A great Murisaltian talent, chiseled and refined juices!
Thomas Boccon, a pure Burgundian born in Dijon, started working in 2011 at the prestigious François Mikulski estate (Meursault), in parallel with his studies at the wine school of Beaune.
After experiences abroad (New Zealand), he returned to France for a season at Domaine des Croix, then finally returned to Domaine Mikulski, simultaneously obtaining a tractor driver's diploma and a university diploma in oenological techniques.
Only in his thirties, Thomas is already a qualified and experienced winemaker, skilled in both viticulture and winemaking, aspects that he now fully supervises at Domaine Mikulski.
In order to continue to perfect himself, in 2016 he created Maison Thomas Boccon, a haute couture micro-trade (3000 bottles only per vintage) based on the purchase of top quality grapes.
Thomas focuses on three appellations that he vinifies with the same care and the same rigor:
- Bourgogne Côte d´Or (Chardonnay)
- Meursault
- Meursault Poruzots
The grape supplies are selected in order to have a perfect raw material, with balanced maturity. Thomas indeed wants to deliver wines that reflect his work at Domaine Mikulski: chiseled wines (but made from ripe grapes!), Freshness, aromatic purity, digestibility and salinity. Gourmet wines, the fruit of the work of a passionate epicurean as Thomas defines himself. A confidential production but to discover urgently!
